Department of Mechanical Engineering
B.Tech. Mechanical Engineering · M.Tech. Renewable Energy Technology · Ph.D.
Established in 2003, the department runs a B.Tech. programme with an intake of 60 students and an M.Tech. in Renewable Energy Technology, and is a recognised Ph.D. research centre of RTU. Its laboratories carry both traditional machines and modern tools such as a 3-D printer, CNC machines, a robotic arm, computerized VCR engines, a gas analyser and an EGR system, and it hosts an e-Yantra robotics laboratory in collaboration with IIT Bombay and the Ministry of Education.
