Admission to the first year of B.Tech. is through REAP counselling conducted by the Government of Rajasthan; SKIT's REAP code is 1031. After your seat is allotted, keep the seat allotment letter, the SAF fee receipt of Rs. 10,000 and the document checklist ready for reporting at the institute.
You will need your seat allotment letter, the fee receipt, your Class 10 and 12 mark sheets and certificates, the REAP registration details and the category certificate if you applied under one. The institute publishes a document checklist for online reporting and another for physical reporting, updated each year.
SKIT is at Ramnagaria, Jagatpura, Jaipur 302 017, about 20 minutes from Jaipur International Airport. Take the Jagatpura road, and shared cabs, tempos and autos cover the last stretch. Jaipur Junction is about 15 km away and Jagatpura railway station about 5 km.
Yes. Nirwana Boys Hostel offers 460 single occupancy air-cooled seats and 48 double occupancy AC rooms. Noran Girls Hostel offers 261 seats in double and triple sharing air-cooled rooms. Both hostels are on campus with a mess, RO water, Wi-Fi, a doctor every evening and 24×7 security.
Students are responsible for keeping their own rooms clean and their belongings in order. RO plants are installed across the campus, including in the hostels, mess and canteen.
Hostel fees are paid in two instalments, the first at the time of admission and the second in January, along with refundable security money. Ask the hostel office for the current-year fee schedule before you report.
Yes. SKIT points students to the PM-Vidyalaxmi portal, the unified portal for education loans from scheduled commercial banks, co-operative banks, regional rural banks and private banks, where you can also apply for interest subvention.
M.Tech. admission is coordinated by the institute (mtechadmission@skit.ac.in, +91-9799884938). MBA admission runs through the Department of Management Studies (mbaadmission@skit.ac.in). Ph.D. applications go through the RTU DAT entrance examination at Rajasthan Technical University, Kota, followed by an interview before the Departmental Research Committee.
