Built on the learnings of Swami Keshvanand
SKIT was established in 2000 by the Technocrats and Managers Society of Advanced Learning and Gramothan. Today it is an autonomous institute affiliated to Rajasthan Technical University, Kota, and one of the centres of academic excellence in northern India.

Our story
SKIT began in the year 2000 as an engineering college built by technocrats and managers. Over two decades it has grown into a digital smart campus with contemporary and relevant programmes, e-learning systems and research centres, while keeping the friendliness and warmth that have characterised it from its early days.
The institute offers graduate and postgraduate courses in engineering and management, affiliated to Rajasthan Technical University, Kota, approved by the All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi, and by the Government of Rajasthan. Its engineering branches are accredited by the National Board of Accreditation, New Delhi, and also by the Institution of Engineers (India), Kolkata. SKIT has been accredited and re-accredited by NAAC, and is recognised by the University Grants Commission under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act, 1956.
Our sister institution, Swami Keshvanand Institute of Pharmacy (SKIP), is affiliated to Rajasthan University of Health Sciences for its graduate course in pharmacy. Together the two campuses sit on Jagatpura's green edge, where the aesthetics of the architecture and the pursuit of knowledge make the environment serene, pleasant and dynamic.
Vision
To promote higher learning in advanced technology, management skills and industrial research to make our country a global player.
Mission
To promote quality education, training and research in the field of engineering and management by establishing an effective interface with industry, and to encourage faculty to undertake industry-sponsored projects for students.
Quality policy
We are committed to the achievement of quality as an integral part of our institutional policy, through continuous self-evaluation and striving to improve ourselves. The institute pursues quality in all its endeavours — admissions, teaching and learning processes, examinations, extra and co-curricular activities, industry–institution interaction, research and development, continuing education and consultancy — and in every functional area, from teaching departments, the Training and Placement Cell, the library and the administrative and accounts offices to the hostels, canteen, security, transport and maintenance services.
Gramothan: our social responsibility
The word gramothan means the upliftment of villages, and it has been part of the institute's name and purpose from the beginning. Through the NSS, the Gramothan Club and Unnat Bharat Abhiyan, students and staff run camps, health check-ups, awareness drives and educational support for communities around Jaipur. Reports from those programmes are kept in the institutional documents.

Swami Keshvanand Ji's life of learning and service is the model the institute returns to in its vision and its social work.
