Teaching, assessment and quality
SKIT is an autonomous institute affiliated to Rajasthan Technical University, Kota. Its B.Tech., M.Tech., MBA and Ph.D. programmes follow the institute's own schemes and examinations, accredited by NBA and NAAC.
How the academic year works
The institute follows a two-semester year, with the odd semester from July to December and the even semester from January to June. Each programme publishes its own academic calendar, and the schemes and syllabi for each branch are issued year by year.
Assessment combines continuous internal evaluation with semester examinations. The Examination Cell publishes time tables, examination forms, fee schedules, re-evaluation and copy-view notices, and the results of supplementary examinations.
Because the institute is autonomous, its Academic Council approves curricula and regulations; because it is affiliated, RTU, Kota awards the degrees. Both sets of documents are published here.
Three ICT-eSLATE studios (Smart Learning and Teaching Environment), set up in 2020, let faculty record quality e-content that students can revisit before an examination.
